Seppuku Tattoo represents the new renaissance in body art esthetics, abolishing the negative stigma attached to tattoo shops as the haunts of undesirables, by presenting a consummately professional studio where clients can wear fine art on their skin. In both as tattooists and as an art gallery, we seek to act as illumination, to shine light upon the dark stereotype formally cast on these ‘low brow’ arts.

Seppuku Tattoo is established on the solid foundation laid down by the generations of masters who came before, with a recognition that it was their sacrifices that made our practicing of these fine arts possible today, and will strive to honor and uphold their principles and ethics.

“Seppuku”, a Japanese term found in bus hi do, the discipline practiced by samurai, is self disembowelment with one’s own weapon in the face of failure; an honorable death being more preferred than a dishonorable life. In western culture, this can be interpreted as “Death Before Dishonor”. It is this ideal that will drive our commitment to our clientele.

The staff at Seppuku Tattoo will be composed of veterans who have served formal apprenticeships, vanguards in their chosen field, and will bring a level of craftsmanship to Savannah that rivals the international community. Seppuku Tattoos’ artists will be versed in a broad spectrum of artistic mediums, and will seek to incorporate a host of styles and concepts with an equal level of excellence. Every artist at Seppuku Tattoo will be able to create custom designs on command at no additional expense to the client.

Seppuku Tattoo will maintain a relaxed setting, capable of treating a novice customer with all the due respect to a first time initiate, or catering to the most discriminating, seasoned collector.
Seppuku Tattoo will maintain at all times a hospital level of cleanliness and its staff trained in blood borne pathogens, the sterile chain of events, preventing cross contamination, first aid, & CPR.

Seppuku Tattoo will employ only the best materials, professional machines, hypoallergenic pigments, and quality equipment in every step the application process.

Seppuku Tattoo is proud to work in a medium of art that permeates both time and geography, being older than written language records and found in every culture in mankind’s history. As such, the studio will maintain respect for every background, ethnicity, and religion, free of imposing judgements or prejudices.

Seppuku Tattoo will keep the price of its services attainable to the working class.

Seppuku Tattoo will guarantee its workmanship for as long as the client wears their tattoo.

Seppuku Tattoo will strive to further establish and educate the community to the intrinsic value tattooing as a true art form, and to continue to elevate genres shunned as low brow to the fine art status they deserve.

Seppuku Tattoo will always recognize that without a client’s eye to view the art, and without a client’s skin to wear the art, there is no art; therefore, the client is paramount to the tattooing process, and the client is not here to serve an artist’s ego, portfolio, or bank account. The studio exists to serve the client, and the day that is no longer true is the day that Seppuku Tattoo will close.
